Hi, I think a good plc to start is this Folio f4r www.jasondavies.com/voynich/#f4r/0.598/0.844/4.00It has a word written right in the plant stem, so its pretty likely its about the plant This plant took a while to ID, searchd the world, asked a number of experts and sure enough it went right back to Europe, Most people know it pretty well but not at this particular stage of growth, where it has this ripening domed seed capsule ! The Flowers are easy and the seeds as well, but also kind of generic so a painting would be a very hard way to present its "Identity" But these seed capsules are good for its ID! It's FLAX ! And then knowing that its stems are used to make Linen etc means that its very likely this word (Tau O Rho) means RET So in Latin & Eng. ! Tau = R, O= E, Rho=T To Ret, verb, the retting process that decays the stem enough to liberate the long fine linen fibers. So, its a start!

We'll need to flesh out what we intend to do before we start! Interesting find on that stem, however - I've never noticed it before.
